Monday Night Football - Election Outcome?

Here's a bit of fun info. Apparently Football is America's sport. According to a couple websites there is a "Redskin Rule" that says tonights football game will tell you the outcome of tomorrow's election. This is just something fun I received from a co-worker and want to know if it will be true this year...

The Washington Redskins: In 18 out of the last 19 elections, when the Redskins have won their final home game prior to the election, the incumbent has held the White House. The one exception to the Redskins Rule was 2004, when the Green Bay Packers beat the Redskins, but John Kerry still went on to lose President Bush. This year the second-place Redskins face the first-place Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football on Nov 3. (http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/election2008/a/elect-predict.htm)

VS.

So does that mean if you are cheering for the Redskins tonight you are voting for McCain tomorrow?
