Santa Monica

On Friday we headed up to Santa Monica Pier to spend the day.

Enjoyed a little lunch at the end of the pier

After we ate we went down to the beach to play in the water

Kara was a little uneasy about the waves so it was my job to keep track of Braxton

He was having a great time until a wave splashed him in the face

And the best part of the trip (for Braxton) was when he got to meet his idol - Spiderman!

Beach Time

After the kiddos woke up from their nap they wanted to go to the beach.  So Kara and I packed them up and headed down while my brother-in-law, Zack, made dinner.

A change of clothes is always a good idea when taking small children to the beach... Aunt Liz planned ahead!

Birch Aquarium

On Thursday 7/22/10 we went to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla.

Braxton was so excited that he got to "swim with the sharks" and I was so excited that I got to take my Toad with us.

After the aquarium we were going to go to lunch and then the beach, but I think these pictures say it all.  We went home for a nap. 

When Zack asked Annabelle about the sharks, her response was "MY shark".  She kept trying to grab the shark when she was petting it.
